What Telltail does, stated plainly

Telltail listens to a sound your dog or cat makes and reports what the sound itself carries: the kind of call, a likely state such as asking for something or settling down, and how confident it is, with the measurements behind that answer.

It does not turn a bark or a meow into a sentence, and it does not claim to. No product can. When the sound is too quiet, too short, not an animal, or simply not distinctive enough to read, Telltail says so rather than guessing.

It is not veterinary advice

Telltail describes sounds. It does not diagnose, and the care guides in the app are general information, not a substitute for a veterinarian.

If something about your animal worries you — a change in appetite, weight, drinking, breathing or energy that lasts more than a day or two — call a vet. Do not wait on an app.

Subscription

Telltail is a paid subscription. The price and billing period are shown before you buy and are charged to your Apple ID.

It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple ID subscription settings — we cannot cancel it for you, and no app can.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Deleting your data in the app does not cancel one either. Only Apple can.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple and follow their policy. Write to [email protected] if something has gone wrong and we will help where we can.

Acceptable use

Use Telltail for your own pets. Do not attempt to reverse engineer it, resell access, or use it in a way that breaks the law where you are.

Liability

Telltail is provided as it is. We do not warrant that a reading is correct for your animal on a given day, and we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of one. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
